A Stroll Back in Time at Tin City

June 25, 2014

If you want to take a break from the beach and cool off, a fun place to grab lunch and spend the afternoon is Tin City.  Fun little shops and some waterside dining. Tin City was built in the 1920’s alongside the Gordon River in Naples.  This was one of the key waterways in Naples at that time and these buildings originally housed a clam shell and oyster processing plant.  Around the 1970’s this area was transformed into a restaurant and shopping area.

Here’s one of the restaurants we eat at quite frequently.  Nothing like a good fish sandwich while sitting by the water and enjoying the view!

Tin City offers lots of unique little stores which makes wandering around fun.  Make sure you check out the old maps and pictures of the old Tin City…times sure have changed!
