If you want to take a break from the beach and cool off, a fun place to grab lunch and spend the afternoon is Tin City. Fun little shops and some waterside dining. Tin City was built in the 1920’s alongside the Gordon River in Naples. This was one of the key waterways in Naples at that time and these buildings originally housed a clam shell and oyster processing plant. Around the 1970’s this area was transformed into a restaurant and shopping area.
Here’s one of the restaurants we eat at quite frequently. Nothing like a good fish sandwich while sitting by the water and enjoying the view!
Here’s a few pictures of the inside. Lots of fun little shops to browse through.
When you’re ready to eat, pick from one of the waterside restaurants. Great waterfront views.
Here’ a few pictures from the other side of the waterway. Boat and jet ski rentals as well as sightseeing cruises are all available nearby.
Have fun and enjoy the View!
