Hi All! It’s been a few days since my last post as I’ve been knee deep in kitchen reno (more on that later, much later). I was, however, able to sneak out last weekend for a quick lunch at one of my favorites restaurants on 5th Avenue in Naples called Tulia Osteria.
Tulia Osteria serves Italian peasant cuisine (don’t worry, I wasn’t quite sure what that was at first either) and it’s Delish! You can eat outside on the patio and people watch or dine inside where they have created a quaint Italian atmosphere. It has that old Italian farmhouse feel and you truly feel as though you’ve been transported over to a little village in Italy.
The menu has lots of great choices and is very unique. It took me a bit to decide what to order as everything looked really good.
We (my hubby and I…he’s the one that rescued me from the kitchen reno) decided to start with the Eggplant Brushetta, bread and a glass of wine. I probably could have had just this as my lunch and been one happy girl!
During the summer, Tulia offers a special price fixed menu and we decided to try that out. They have fantastic pizzas and my favorite was on there. I ordered a farm green salad and “The Father Michael” pizza. Everything was so fresh and light. The brandy mayonnaise really makes the pizza!
My hubby ordered the Caesar Salad (forgot to take a picture…sorry, too busy enjoying mine!) and The Classico which has tomato, mozzarella, basil and olive oil. Traditional and YUM!
After eating, we were stuffed and happy. I guess that meant we had to head back home and once again tackle the kitchen. It was a great lunch break and I plan on going again VERY soon…for dinner next time!
Check out Tulia Osteria on 5th. You’re going to Love it!!
